Abdullah Khalil is an American actor raised in Detroit, Michigan. Known for his grounded performances, emotional depth, and commanding on-screen presence, his work spans television, independent film, and theatre.
Originally pursuing a career in medicine and science, Khalil discovered acting after seeing a production of Of Mice and Men while completing his undergraduate chemistry degree. The experience profoundly altered the course of his life and led him to formally study theatre at Wayne State University , where he performed in numerous main stage productions. During his training, he also studied at the renowned Moscow Art Theatre School .
After relocating to Los Angeles, Khalil later earned his Doctor of Pharmacy degree and works as a pediatric pharmacist while continuing his career as an actor. His lived experience both inside and outside the entertainment industry informs the authenticity, humanity, and quiet intensity he brings to his performances.
Outside of acting, Khalil supports charitable efforts helping fund and build water wells in East Africa.
